Christie and Nicole vaguely remember meeting in 2005 on a school bus returning to the dorms of the University of Maryland from Baltimore's Baja Beach Club. Their friendship really began to blossom later that year when Christie joined the same sorority as Nicole, Sigma Kappa. The remainder of their college days were primarily spent attending riveting classes that prepared them for the real world, studying very important facts and figures, participating in a plethora of mandatory and non-mandatory sorority events, and even a brief gig as on-campus caterers. When they did find time to have fun, they would sit around Cornerstone Bar and Grill consuming $.50 rails, eat pizza with ranch, eat other high calorie foods, and travel to safe and secure places like Acapulco, Mexico for Spring Break.
Since graduating in 2008, the duo has survived the ups and downs of their twenties, mastered the art of being a bridesmaid, and experienced the joys of working for the man - all while remaining close friends. They have also both been able to slim down by limiting the amount of pizza and ranch they eat on a regular basis (as shown in the photo collage).
Now that they are in their thirties, they find themselves working in mediocre jobs in mediocre cities. Christie is a staffing Account Manager and lives in the suburbs of Richmond, VA with her husband, baby girl, and dog. Nicole is a homeowner and teacher that was recently promoted to 5th grade (from 4th grade) and lives the urban life in Baltimore, MD.
Luckily, both possess the ability to find humor in the everyday experiences that underwhelm them. They are now OVERWHELMED with excitement to share with the world their thoughts and opinions during their weekly podcast: Underwhelmed.
